The rich dark chocolate color of our Sports Recover massage salve is imparted by the primary ingredient of Kombo butter that is a natural source of cetyl myristoleate. Rarely occurring in nature, the myristoleate found in Kombo butter has multiple biological properties, including as an anti-inflammatory, as well as an immune system modulator (or regulator). It works in a natural manner by acting at the precise location of joint inflammation. It is also superior in the treatment of body pains brought on by various maladies such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis and sports related injuries.
St. John's Wort, widely known for its anti-depressive action, is also known to decrease inflammation and nerve irritation and eases the pain of sciatica. For muscle sprains and strains, Saint John’s wort helps the tissues release heat and swelling so they can heal.
The conjugated fatty acids of pomegranate oil give it strong anti-inflammatory properties, which help to reduce swelling and ease muscular aches and pains. Comfrey and Bittersweet botanicals soothes and heals the skin, while lavender oil contributes as a muscle or joint pain reliever.
Lastly, wintergreen and lavender essential oils provide a cool and relaxing element to the salves overall effectiveness.

Contains Beeswax, Bittersweet, Kombo Butter, Lavender Flowers, Comfrey Root, Comfrey Leaves, Organic Olive Oil, Pomegranate Oil, St. John's Wort Oil, Wintergreen essential oil and Lavender essential oil.
Use about a teaspoon or more at a time, warm by rubbing between hands and apply to unbroken skin for muscle or pain relief.
