Once a commonly grown large winter squash by the Hopi tribe of the Southwest, the Hopi Pale Gray squash nearly became extinct. Offered for commercial sale by Abundant Life Seed Co., this variety perished during a fire of their building but remained thanks to a few gardeners who kept this variety going.
Hugely productive with rampant vines which often produce more than 6 large squash per vine. They can range in size from 6 to in excess of 20 lbs.
